MAATEE &SONS was launched with members who have previously worked behind the scenes for various select shops and international clothing brands.

Centering on a unique aesthetic created by a touch of wit, the brand offers genuinely good clothing for adults.

The new brand "MAATEE & SONS" by Taiki Matsumura, known for tim. TAIKI MATSUMURA,

started in the Fall/Winter of 2019.

The brand name combines "Matsutei → Maatei → MAATEE," derived from "Matsutei Gofukuten," the kimono shop once run by Mr. Matsumura's grandfather,

with "Marty," a popular name in places like NY where he first started his brand.

"& SONS" is appended to MAATEE, signifying a respect for traditional sartorial history passed down through generations, common overseas, and the intention to carry on that legacy in a new form.
