MAATEE & SONS started with members who have been active behind the scenes in clothing for various select shops and international brands.

Based on the unique appearance created by a touch of wit,

MAATEE & SONS seriously proposes good clothes for adults.

"MAATEE & SONS", the new brand by Taiki Matsumura, known for tim. TAIKI MATSUMURA, launched in autumn/winter 2019.

The brand name "MAATEE" is derived from "Matsutei" (from "Matsusada Gofukuten", a kimono store run by Mr. Matsumura's grandfather in the past) and "Ma-te", a popular name in NY where he first started his brand.
"& SONS" is combined with MAATEE, signifying respect for the traditional history of clothing passed down through generations, common in other countries, and the intention to inherit it in a new form.
