MAATEE & SONS started with members who have been active behind the scenes

in clothing for various select shops and international brands.

Based on the unique presence created by a pinch of wit,

the brand earnestly proposes quality clothing for adults.

"MAATEE & SONS" is a new brand by Taiki Matsumura, known for tim. TAIKI MATSUMURA,

which launched in the fall/winter of 2019.

The brand name "MAATEE & SONS" is derived from "Matsutei → Maatee → MAATEE,"

taken from "Matsutei Gofukuten," a kimono shop run by Mr. Matsumura's grandfather long ago.
It also incorporates "Maatee," a popular name in places like NY where he first started his brand.

"& SONS" is added to MAATEE, signifying a respect for traditional clothing history

passed down through generations, common in other countries,

and the intention to carry on that tradition in a new form.
