Focusing on a unique aesthetic born from a touch of wit, MAATEE &SONS offers serious clothing for discerning adults.
Known for tim. TAIKI MATSUMURA, Taiki Matsumura's new brand "MAATEE &SONS" started in the fall/winter of 2019.
The brand name "MAATEE" is derived from "Matsutei → Marte → MAATEE," which comes from "Matsutei Gofukuten," a kimono shop run by Mr. Matsumura's grandfather long ago.
It also incorporates "Marty," a popular name in places like NY where he first launched a brand.
The "& SONS" part, common overseas, signifies respect for traditional clothing history passed down through generations and the intention to inherit it in a new form, combined with MAATEE.
