In 2000, Toshinosuke Takegahara established the shoe brand, foot the coacher.


foot the coacher is a Japanese men's shoe brand.


The designer is Toshinosuke Takegahara. While studying art at university, he began to teach himself shoemaking from scratch.


In 1994, he established his own brand "Toshinosuke Takegahara".


In 1996, he designed for the British shoe brand George Cox.


From 1998, he worked on Tricker's bespoke line (made-to-order).


He returned to Japan in 1999 and launched the casual line, foot the coacher, in 2000.


The brand "Toshinosuke Takegahara" was renamed to

AUTHENTIC SHOE &Co., and the

casual line is developed as foot the coacher.


In addition to shoes, the brand also handles

apparel and accessories that propose a lifestyle.

The upper is made of fine-grained calfskin,

and the sole is made with GLOXICUT from Vibram,

a company founded in Italy in 1935 as a mountaineering boot sole manufacturer.
