NOVESTA
The town of Partizánske in former Czechoslovakia.
NOVESTA was quietly born in 1939
within the historic BATA Industrial Park in that small town.
The shoe factory, specializing in rubber and canvas products,
has consistently produced pure Slovak footwear since its founding,
including military, work, rubber boots, and running shoes,
through the historical currents of World War II, the post-war Cold War,
the socialist era, and the dissolution of the nation.
In 1992, one year before the split of Czechoslovakia,
having established itself as a leading factory in Europe over half a century since its founding,
NOVESTA launched its own brand of pure Slovak sneakers.
Since then, NOVESTA has continued to grow as an original brand,
sending out various collaborative projects with brands from around the world.
NOVESTA continues to create handmade sneakers that embody European sophistication
and the rustic texture of Eastern Europe.
